Bank of Canada announces schedule for policy rate decisions and major reports through end of 2026

The Bank of Canada has released its schedule for key publications and policy interest rate announcements in 2026. The central bank also confirmed the dates for remaining announcements in 2025.

Interest rate decisions will be announced at 09:45 Eastern Time on eight dates throughout 2026: January 28, March 18, April 29, June 10, July 15, September 2, October 28, and December 9. For the remainder of this year, scheduled announcements will take place on September 17, October 29, and December 10. The Monetary Policy Report will be published alongside the January, April, July, and October interest rate announcements.

The Bank of Canada also outlined its timetable for other major reports. The Business Outlook Survey and Canadian Survey of Consumer Expectations are set to be released at 10:30 Eastern Time on January 19, April 20, July 6, and October 19 in the coming year. Additionally, the Financial Stability Report is scheduled for release at 10:00 Eastern Time on May 28.
