Bank of Russia joins EAEU advisory board meeting on economic policies

The Bank of Russia participated in a meeting of the Foreign Exchange Policy Advisory Board of Central (National) Banks of EAEU Member States. The event took place in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic, on July 16, 2025.

Discussions at the meeting included topics such as the economic situation, monetary policy implementation, and the methodology and practice related to the application of the countercyclical capital buffer in EAEU member states. Additionally, participants talked about regulators’ ESG activities and joint cyber drills.

Elvira Nabiullina, Governor of the Bank of Russia, led her country’s delegation. Other participants included representatives from several central banks: Armenia’s Central Bank, Belarus’s National Bank, Kazakhstan’s National Bank and its Agency for Financial Market Regulation and Development, Kyrgyz Republic’s National Bank, and Uzbekistan’s Central Bank.
