Representatives from financial regulators and institutions across the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), along with an observer country, participated in the Eurasia 2025 cross-border cyber drills. The on-site portion of these exercises took place at Innopolis University from October 20 to 24, 2025.

During the drills, participants addressed a simulated computer incident involving a bank that had been targeted by hackers. According to the scenario, attackers exploited vulnerabilities in the bank’s software products. Teams were tasked with restoring the bank’s infrastructure and conducting an investigation to identify those responsible for the attack.

All information gathered during these exercises was provided to the Bank of Russia’s FinCERT.

The Bank of Russia stated its intention to continue working with EAEU member state regulators and other interested countries “in order to counter global cyber threats more effectively.”
