Coin Week begins with over 16,000 stores and 4,000 banks participating across Russia

The Bank of Russia announced on Apr. 6 that Coin Week will take place from April 6 to April 18, involving more than 16,000 stores and 4,000 bank offices throughout the country.

The event allows people to exchange coins for banknotes at participating banks and stores or deposit coins into their bank accounts. The campaign aims to return coins into circulation and provide convenient options for the public to manage small change. Coin Week has been held in Russia since 2023. During this period, over 215 million coins worth nearly ₽956 million have been returned to circulation.
