Federal bank regulatory agencies are set to hold a hybrid public outreach meeting on October 30, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri. This meeting is part of the agencies’ ongoing review of regulations as required by the Economic Growth and Regulatory Paperwork Reduction Act (EGRPRA). The EGRPRA mandates that these agencies review their regulations with public input at least once every ten years to identify outdated or unnecessary requirements for certain supervised institutions.
The upcoming meeting will allow stakeholders to share their perspectives on several regulatory categories. These include Applications and Reporting; Powers and Activities; International Operations; Consumer Protection; Directors, Officers and Employees; Money Laundering; Rules of Procedure; Safety and Soundness; Securities; Banking Operations; Capital; and the Community Reinvestment Act.
According to the agencies, “The outreach meeting is an opportunity for interested stakeholders to present their views on the regulatory categories listed in any of the four Federal Register notices: Applications and Reporting; Powers and Activities; International Operations; Consumer Protection; Directors, Officers and Employees; Money Laundering; Rules of Procedure; Safety and Soundness; Securities; Banking Operations; Capital; and the Community Reinvestment Act.”
Those wishing to provide oral comments—either virtually or in person—must register by October 22, 2025. During registration, individuals should specify which regulatory categories they wish to address. The agencies will inform selected participants who are invited to comment.
