The Federal Reserve Board has announced the conclusion of an enforcement action involving a former employee of The Marathon Bank. Lori H. Staples was subject to a Cease and Desist Order that dates back to May 28, 2003. The enforcement action was officially terminated on April 4, 2025.

This marks the end of a long-standing issue for Staples, who was associated with The Marathon Bank located in Winchester, Virginia. The Federal Reserve Board’s recent update closes this chapter more than two decades after it began.

The details of additional enforcement actions can be found through the Federal Reserve’s resources.
