The Federal Reserve Board has announced the designation of chairs and deputy chairs for each of the 12 regional Federal Reserve Banks for 2026. The appointments were made public on Friday.
Each of the Federal Reserve Banks is overseen by a nine-member board of directors, which includes business and community leaders from their respective regions. By law, three of these directors are appointed by the Board of Governors in Washington to represent the public interest, with one designated as chair and another as deputy chair each year.
For 2026, the following individuals have been named to leadership roles at their respective Reserve Banks:
In Boston, Lizanne Kindler, executive chair and chief executive of KnitWell Group in Hingham, Massachusetts, will serve as Chair. Tim Sweeney, president, chief executive officer, and chairman of Liberty Mutual Insurance in Boston, will be Deputy Chair.
At the New York Fed, Pat Wang, president and chief executive officer of Healthfirst in New York City, has been renamed Chair. Rajiv J. Shah, M.D., president of The Rockefeller Foundation in New York City, has been renamed Deputy Chair.
William Lo, chief executive officer at Crystal Steel Fabricators Inc. in Delmar, Delaware was named Chair for Philadelphia’s bank. Kisha Hortman Hawthorne from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) was named Deputy Chair.
Cleveland’s bank will be chaired by Richard J. Kramer, former chairman and CEO at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., with Fred Hargett from University of Pittsburgh Medical Center serving as Deputy Chair.
Lisa M. Lawson from The Annie E. Casey Foundation remains Chair for Richmond’s bank; Halsey M. Cook from Milliken & Company continues as Deputy Chair.
Gregory A. Haile from Upwardly Global was renamed Atlanta’s Chair; James O. Etheredge formerly with Accenture North America remains Deputy Chair.
Jennifer F. Scanlon leads Chicago’s bank as Chair; Maurice Smith from Health Care Service Corporation joins as Deputy Chair.
St. Louis’ new leaders are Lal Karsanbhai from Emerson Electric Co., named Chair; Gregory A. Heckman from Bunge Global SA is Deputy Chair.
Paul D. Williams was named Minneapolis’ new Chair; Jay Debertin from CHS Inc., is Deputy Chair.
Kansas City sees Jandel Allen-Davis, M.D., president and CEO at Craig Hospital named as its new Chair while Paul Maass from Scoular becomes Deputy Chair.
Claudia Aguirre continues her role as Dallas’ Bank chair with Gary C. Kelly remaining deputy chair.
Russell A. Childs stays on as San Francisco’s chair; Pallavi Mehta Wahi also remains deputy chair there.

Each appointment reflects an effort to bring a range of experience across business sectors to help guide monetary policy implementation at a regional level.
