The Federal Reserve Board has released the minutes from its meetings held on July 21 and July 30, 2025. These meetings focused on reviewing and determining the discount rates available to depository institutions through the discount window.

According to the Board, its approach to setting the discount rate differs from how the Federal Open Market Committee sets the target range for the federal funds rate.

The minutes provide insight into these separate processes and are now publicly available for review.
