Insurance premiums surge by over 60% in 2024

In 2024, the insurance market experienced significant growth with insurance premiums rising by 62.8% to reach ₽3.7 trillion. This increase was largely attributed to life insurance, which saw premiums climb to historic levels.

Voluntary medical insurance, motor insurance, and corporate insurance also showed strong positive trends throughout the year.

By the end of 2024, insurers’ net profit had increased nearly 1.5 times, amounting to ₽462.8 billion.
