On September 17, 2025, the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) announced it will implement a variation to the Access Regime for the ATM System, effective from October 1, 2025. This change is intended to reflect the replacement of the industry-administered ATM Access Code with a new ATM Access Standard.
According to the RBA, “The purpose of the variation is to accommodate the replacement of the associated industry-administered ATM Access Code with a new ATM Access Standard. The amendments to the Access Regime are minor and do not change its substantive requirements.”
