Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott issued a statement following the appointment of Rodney Hood as Acting Comptroller of the Currency by President Trump.
“Congratulations to Rodney Hood on being named Acting Comptroller of the Currency. Throughout his accomplished career, Rodney has focused on expanding access to financial services and improving financial inclusion for all Americans,” said Chairman Scott. He emphasized the importance of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) in chartering and supervising national banks, expressing confidence that Hood will maintain focus on safeguarding the safety and soundness of the banking system.
