The Federal Reserve Bank of New York has announced the appointment of Izzy Martins to the Second District Advisory Council (SDAC), effective immediately.
In a press release by the New York Fed, it was stated that the SDAC convenes three times annually, providing the bank's leadership with insights into business and economic conditions. The council members are appointed for three-year terms.
Martins, according to the same press release, currently holds the position of executive vice president and chief financial officer at Avis Budget Group. She began her tenure at Cendant Corporation, Avis Budget’s predecessor company, in 2004. During her time there, Martins held various roles including executive vice president for the Americas, chief financial officer for the Americas, and chief accounting officer. Prior to this, she worked at Deloitte & Touche for seven years. Martins earned her undergraduate degree in accounting and a law degree from Seton Hall University.
In an earlier press release before Martins' appointment was announced, the New York Fed declared two new additions to its Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC). The new members are Ronald Belle, president and CEO of AmeriCU Credit Union in Rome, N.Y., and Jonathan Roberts, CEO of Hudson Valley Credit Union in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
As per that press release, CDIAC members serve three-year terms and represent commercial banks, thrift institutions, and credit unions with assets under $10 billion headquartered in the Federal Reserve's Second District. The council provides advice to the New York Fed from the perspective of community depository institutions.
