On June 3, 2024, the Bank of Russia issued a 3-ruble silver commemorative coin to mark the 450th anniversary of the foundation of Ufa. This coin is part of the Cities series.
The 3-ruble silver coin, weighing 31.1 grams with a fineness of 925/1,000, has a round shape and a diameter of 39.0 mm. Both the obverse and reverse sides feature a relief rim around their circumference.
The obverse side displays a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation along with inscriptions for "РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ" (RUSSIAN FEDERATION), "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA), the denomination "3 РУБЛЯ" (3 RUBLES), and the year "2024 г." (2024). It also includes the chemical symbol for silver according to Mendeleev’s Periodic Table, its fineness, the Saint Petersburg Mint trademark, and fine metal content.
On its reverse side, catalogued as No. 5111-0503, it features a relief image of Ufa's coat of arms and an architectural complex from Ufa Soviet Square. These elements are laser-treated for matte finishing. Additionally depicted are Major General Minigali Shaymuratov in relief and an inscription reading "UFA 450" at the bottom. The top and bottom edges include decorative elements also treated for matte finishing.
The edge of this coin is corrugated and it is minted in proof quality with a mintage limited to 3 thousand pieces.
This new coin is legal tender in Russia and must be accepted for all types of payments without restrictions at face value.
