At the meeting of the Foreign Exchange Policy Advisory Board of Central (National) Banks of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Member States, which took place in Sochi, participants discussed specific aspects of the interaction between monetary policy and other state policies. The discussion particularly focused on approaches to harmonizing financial market legislation among EAEU member states.
The heads of the parties' regulators attended the meeting of the Eurasian Council of Central (National) Banks for the first time. Topics included a review of 2023 results from the banking sector within member states and development prospects for 2024. Additionally, discussions covered main areas of monetary policy and regulators' ESG activities. Participants also shared experiences in regulating cryptoassets and digital rights.
