Bank of Russia issues new commemorative one-ruble silver coins

On July 5, 2024, the Bank of Russia issued one-ruble silver commemorative coins as part of the Russian Sports series. The series includes two coins: "Spartak" and "Labor Reserves." These one-ruble silver coins have a fine precious metal content of 7.78 grams and a fineness of 925/1,000. They are round in shape with a diameter of 25.0 mm.

Both the obverse and reverse sides of the coins feature a relief rim around their circumference. The obverse side displays a relief image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation, along with inscriptions reading “РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ” (RUSSIAN FEDERATION) and “БАНК РОССИИ” (BANK OF RUSSIA). Additional details include the denomination “1 РУБЛЬ” (1 RUBLE), the year “2024 г.” (2024), the chemical symbol for silver according to Mendeleev’s Periodic Table, fineness, the Saint Petersburg Mint trademark, and fine metal content.

The reverse side features:

— For the coin "Spartak" (Catalogue No. 5109-0138), a relief emblem of the sports society Spartak with the inscription “СПАРТАК” (SPARTAK) around the upper circumference.

— For the coin "Labour Reserves" (Catalogue No. 5109-0139), a relief emblem of the sports society Labour Reserves.

The edge of these coins is corrugated, and they are minted in proof quality. Each coin has a mintage limit of 10,000 pieces.

These new coins are legal tender in the Russian Federation and must be accepted for all types of payments without restrictions at their face value.
