In July, companies' business activity continued to expand. The Bank of Russia's Business Climate Index was higher than the 2023 average, despite a drop to 7.7 points.
The current estimates of output and demand decreased. Businesses became more moderate in their positive expectations for the near future. Investment activity of companies was growing, although less intensely than in 2024 Q1.
Businesses' price expectations remained almost unchanged, holding close to the 2023 Q3 levels. More details are available in the July issue of the information and analytical commentary Monitoring of Businesses.
Starting from this issue, the Bank of Russia will regularly publish data on large, medium-sized, small, and micro enterprises by economic activity.
