House Financial Services Committee announces hearings on digital assets and financial scams

Today, the Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, Patrick McHenry (NC-10), announced two upcoming hearings.

The Digital Assets, Financial Technology and Inclusion Subcommittee will hold a hearing titled “Dazed and Confused: Breaking Down the SEC’s Politicized Approach to Digital Assets.” This session is scheduled for 10:00 AM ET on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the 2128 Rayburn House Office Building. Additionally, the National Security, Illicit Finance, and International Financial Institutions Subcommittee will conduct a hearing titled “Protecting Americans’ Savings: Examining the Economics of the Multi-Billion Dollar Romance Confidence Scam Industry.” This session is set for 2:00 PM ET on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, also at the 2128 Rayburn House Office Building.
