Binance receives award from Royal Thai Police's CIB

Binance’s Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Law Enforcement and Investigation Team has received an award from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Royal Thai Police. The award recognizes Binance's contributions to the bureau’s efforts in combating crypto-related crime.

According to an article on Binance’s blog, CIB presented the award during the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the bureau’s Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD).

The post states that Binance has collaborated with the CIB on the bureau’s Anti-Online Scam Operation Centre (AOC). Launched last year, this new force combats online scams targeting Thai citizens. Additionally, Binance provided support during a CIB crackdown that resulted in arrests across 30 sites involving over 200 officers in a transnational criminal network. Binance’s teams have also contributed analytical insights to investigations surrounding illegally installed computer networks linked to scam centers across the border.

"We are deeply honored to receive this award from the Central Investigation Bureau," Akbar A., Binance’s Head of Investigations for APAC, was quoted as saying in the blog post. "This recognition is a testament to our unwavering commitment to fighting cybercrime and protecting the community."

Col. Amornchai Leelakajonjit, who works for CIB’s Technology Crime Suppression Division, applauds Binance’s proactive approach and its contributions to the bureau’s successful operations. "We look forward to continuing this fruitful collaboration to ensure a safer crypto environment for all," Leelakajonjit said.
