Annual inflation in Russia increased by an average of 0.12 percentage points to reach 7.84% in April, according to recent data. The Volga and Siberian Federal Districts experienced the most significant acceleration in price growth, while the Southern Federal District saw a slowdown.
In many regions, prices for home improvement goods, household chemicals and smallware, medical goods, confectionery, and animal products began rising at a faster pace. Conversely, the growth of prices for services slowed down in most areas, particularly in transportation, tourism, and banking services. However, mobile phone tariffs increased across all federal districts.
