The financial derivatives market has been recovering gradually since 2023. This recovery is progressing step by step due to limited access to foreign markets and challenges with settlements.
The interest rate derivatives segment is experiencing the most active development. This growth is mainly attributed to transactions conducted by major banks and an increase in lending at variable rates.
In contrast, transactions involving some types of underlying commodities have not yet recovered or remain at minimal levels. Precious metals are predominantly used as underlying assets for commodity derivatives.
Other types of derivative transactions occur irregularly, often on a one-off basis.
