Ksenia Yudaeva departs Bank of Russia for new career paths

Ksenia Yudaeva has announced her departure from the Bank of Russia, effective October 31, 2024. Yudaeva, who served as an Adviser to the Governor and was previously the First Deputy Governor and a member of the Board of Directors, is leaving to explore other career opportunities.

Elvira Nabiullina, Governor of the Bank of Russia, acknowledged Yudaeva's contributions during her tenure. "Ksenia Yudaeva has made an invaluable contribution to the Bank of Russia becoming a modern institution," said Nabiullina. She highlighted Yudaeva's role in implementing the inflation targeting mechanism and managing multiple crises. "Her knowledge and ability to see the whole picture and respond promptly always helped find valid answers to the questions posed by these challenges."

Nabiullina also praised Yudaeva for building a team of researchers specializing in macroeconomics, finance, banking, and climate issues. "She has formed a professional team... which any central bank could be proud of," she stated.

In closing remarks, Nabiullina expressed her best wishes for Yudaeva's future endeavors: "We wish Ms Yudaeva success in all her future projects and initiatives."
