On December 13, 2024, the Bank of Russia Board of Directors appointed Evgeny Pisarevsky as the Financial Consumer Ombudsman in Insurance, Microfinance, Credit Cooperation, and Credit Institutions’ Operations.
According to Federal Law No. 123-FZ, dated June 4, 2018, 'On the Financial Consumer Ombudsman,' a financial ombudsman is appointed by the Bank of Russia Board of Directors upon the recommendation of the Chief Financial Ombudsman for a term of five years. Evgeny Pisarevsky previously served as the financial ombudsman from September 9, 2019, to June 25, 2021.
