The Bank of Russia has released its 2024 ranking of insurers based on complaints related to compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (CMTPLI). The results are divided into two categories: insurers with a client base exceeding two million CMTPLI contracts and smaller companies below this threshold. This categorization aims to assist car owners in comparing companies of similar sizes.
The ranking is derived from statistics on CMTPLI-related complaints submitted to the Bank of Russia in 2024, where consumer rights violations were confirmed, and supervisory measures were taken. Companies are ranked by the consumer risk indicator, calculated as the ratio of complaints against a specific insurer per 10,000 contracts concluded. Insurers with only one complaint filed against them are not included in the ranking.
