In August 2025, the Bank of Russia released its monitoring results on maximum interest rates for ruble deposits at the ten largest Russian banks by household deposit volume. According to the data, the average maximum interest rate for the first ten days of September was 15.59%, while for the second ten days it was 15.56%.
The calculation includes only those deposit rates available to all clients without special conditions or limitations. Deposits targeted at specific groups such as pensioners or children, as well as products with additional requirements like investment purchases or insurance agreements, are excluded from this monitoring.
The Bank of Russia’s analysis covers Sberbank (www.sberbank.ru), VTB Bank (www.vtb.ru), Gazprombank (www.gazprombank.ru), Alfa-Bank (alfabank.ru), Rosselkhozbank (www.rshb.ru), DOM.RF (domrfbank.ru), CREDIT BANK OF MOSCOW (mkb.ru), TBank (www.tbank.ru), Promsvyazbank (psbank.ru), and Sovcombank (sovcombank.ru). The Department of Banking Regulation and Analytics conducted the monitoring using information from these institutions’ websites.
For reference, average maximum interest rates by deposit maturity were also published: up to 90 days at 15.00%, from 91 to 180 days at 14.96%, from 181 days to one year at 14.05%, and over one year at 12.20%.
