On October 1, 2025, the Bank of Russia will issue three new silver commemorative coins as part of its Diamond Fund of Russia series. The collection includes a 3-ruble coin, a 25-ruble coin, and a 25-ruble coin with colored coating.
The Diamond Fund of Russia holds a unique collection that features valuables with historical and artistic importance, including jewelry masterpieces and rare examples of precious stones. Among its exhibits is a platinum brooch shaped like a rose and decorated with nearly 1,500 diamonds.
The newly issued coins are produced in different sizes and weights. The 3-ruble silver coin contains 31.1 grams of fine metal and measures 39.0 mm in diameter. The standard 25-ruble silver coin contains 155.5 grams of fine metal and has a diameter of 60.0 mm.
Both sides of the coins have a relief rim around their circumference. On the obverse side, there is an image of the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation along with inscriptions for “RUSSIAN FEDERATION,” “BANK OF RUSSIA,” the denomination (“3 RUBLES” or “25 RUBLES”), year (“2025”), chemical symbol for the metal, fineness level, Saint Petersburg Mint trademark, and fine metal content.
The reverse side displays:
– For the 3-ruble (Catalogue No. 5111-0530) and standard 25-ruble (Catalogue No. 5115-0166) coins: A relief image of the Rose brooch accompanied by the inscription “THE DIAMOND FUND OF RUSSIA” on the upper left.
– For the colored version (Catalogue No. 5115-0167): A relief image of the Rose brooch set against a background featuring traditional old Russian ornamentation treated for matte finishing by laser, also with “THE DIAMOND FUND OF RUSSIA” inscription on the upper left.
All coins feature corrugated edges and are minted in proof quality to ensure detail and finish.
Production numbers are limited: only 3,000 pieces for the 3-ruble coin; both versions of the 25-ruble coin will be issued in editions of just 500 each.
According to Bank of Russia statements: "The new coins are legal tender of the Russian Federation and are mandatory for acceptance for all kinds of payments without any restrictions at their face value."
