Starting October 1, 2025, businesses in Russia will be able to apply for loan repayment holidays regardless of changes in their revenue. The new policy allows any enterprise that needs a grace period to receive a payment deferral.
The maximum amount eligible for these loan or microloan repayment holidays varies by business size: self-employed individuals can apply for up to ₽10 million, micro businesses up to ₽60 million, small enterprises up to ₽400 million, and medium-sized enterprises up to ₽1 billion.
Repayment holidays can be granted every five years for a six-month period per loan. Borrowers with multiple loans are eligible for this option on each loan.
This law covers loans and microloans issued from March 1, 2024. During the grace period, businesses do not have to repay the principal debt; however, interest will continue to accrue at the rate agreed upon in the contract and may be compounded monthly.
