The Swiss National Bank (SNB) and the Bern History Museum are set to launch a new visitor center called ‘Moneyverse’ on April 10, 2026. This center, dedicated to exploring the subject of money, will be located in the Kaiserhaus in central Berne. The Kaiserhaus has been undergoing extensive renovations since 2018 to meet historical preservation standards.

In collaboration with the Bern History Museum, the SNB has formed a strategic partnership for this project. The museum will handle curation, outreach, and operations for Moneyverse. The initiative aims to enhance economic literacy by examining money from historical, economic, social, and personal perspectives.

The Kaiserhaus will serve as a hub combining modern gastronomy, local businesses, and cultural experiences. Today marks the handover of the premises to tenants at the Kaiserhaus site. The renovated building is scheduled to reopen on April 10, 2026.
