The Swiss National Bank (SNB) has unveiled twelve designs for its upcoming banknote series and is inviting the public to participate in a survey to evaluate them. The survey, which is being conducted by an opinion polling company, will be open from August 13, 2025, to September 7, 2025. Interested individuals can view the designs and take part in the survey at www.newbanknoteseries.ch.

The SNB expressed gratitude to all designers who submitted their interpretations of the theme ‘Switzerland and its altitudes’ in various artistic forms. During the initial phase of the competition, both the public and an advisory board consisting of external experts will assess the designs. The top six designs will advance to a second phase that will consider potential cooperation and commercial aspects.

The SNB plans to select a winner for the design competition and announce its decision at the start of 2026. Additional details about this project can be found on the SNB’s website.
